Eight installations by Francesco Vezzoli are displayed in the archaeological spaces of the Brescia Museums Foundation, thanks to the site-specific exhibition project “Archaeological Stages. Francesco Vezzoli” designed to blend historical and archaeological heritage with contemporary art. The exhibition will remain open for seven months, and will start on 11th June. The opening press conference will be held on Tuesday 8th June.
The initiative was born with the intention of celebrating the return of the Roman bronze, the Vittoria Alata to the city of Brescia, which was returned after the restoration (by Opificio delle Pietre Dure, Florence) to the Archaeological Park Capitolium of Roman Brescia.
